Business Connection is a collaborative program of Team Lorain County, Lorain County Community College, Lorain County Joint Vocational School, Lorain County Chamber of Commerce, and the Lorain County Commissioners through the Lorain County Growth Partnership. Business Connection is a formal coordinated business calling program which will allow us to better assess the needs of local companies, develop new programs for businesses, gather information to assist in business attraction, and better coordinate the efforts of all county economic development groups. This project was designed to complete interviews with 100 companies by June of 2009, create a current contact list of the majority of businesses in Lorain County, and provide detailed information on business facilities in Lorain County.

Team NEO FAM Tour: Experience the Success!
Team NEO, Team Lorain County, and our regional partners recently hosted leading national site selection consultants for a “familiarization” (FAM) tour. We capitalized on the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction to showcase our region’s unique assets through weekend-long events that offered one-of-a-kind opportunities to have a great time, while meeting regional business leaders and learning why Northeast Ohio is a great place for business. Ohio launches a new Web site for business
ohioinsite.com to assist companies looking for locations or having sites to offer
Economic development in Ohio just got a little more technologically savvy. The state, working in conjunction with the Ohio Business Development Coalition, Team Lorain County and other economic development partners has officially launched ohioinsite.com, an on-line tool for companies looking for business locations or entities with sites to offer. The new site, connected with ohiomeansbusiness.com creates a more integrated marketing approach by incorporating Geographic Information System (GIS) technology to target specific locations and corresponding building specifications.
