Lorain County Community College Foundation Innovation Fund was recognized for Fostering Entrepreneurship for investments in 24 new companies at the 3rd Annual Team NEO Economic Development Impact Awards. Awards were given to recognize outstanding economic development contributions that are positively impacting Northeast Ohio's economy.

Team Lorain County was nominated under the Best Marketing Campaign for the Ohio Economic Development Associations (OEDA) second annual Excellence in Ohio Economic Development awards. These awards recognize the tremendous talents and efforts of communities, organizations and individuals that have made Ohio a perennial leader in new and expanded business facilities. Awards were presented at the Hyatt on Capitol Square in Columbus the afternoon of March 11th during the OEDA’s Legislative Event.  It was an honor to be nominated for an award by this prominent statewide organization.
 

Maureen M. Cromling, Chairman of the Board of the Ross Companies and Team Lorain County Board Member, was recently honored by the Ohio Environmental Service Industries (OESI) when they presented her with the OESI Outstanding Service Award.

OESI is a trade association of Ohio's commercial hazardous waste management facilities and associated businesses. Members of the organization provide waste storage, treatment, disposal and recycling services. The award is presented to members of the OESI whose actions have made a significant contribution, either directly or indirectly, to furthering the development and/or goals of the organization.
 

Team Lorain County Staff joined the Lorain County Chamber of Commerce on May 13th, 2009, at All Pro Freight to welcome the Lake Erie Crushers to town. The Lake Erie Crushers held their home opener at All Pro Freight Field on June 2nd and visited the Lorain County Growth Partnership Team Tuesday Meeting on June 9th.
