Manager, Resources and Marketing
Chris Kish joined Team Lorain County as their first staff member in May of 2005. During this time, Chris served as the Campaign Coordinator working with Resource Development Group on the capital funding campaign. Once the official campaign was complete in April of 2006, Chris continued on as the Operations Coordinator and worked closely with the Board of Trustees as well as the Investors of TLC.
Chris participated on all committees and sub-groups created in the development of Team Lorain County. Upon the hiring of J. Martin Irvine, Chris took on the role of Economic Development Representative. Chris’ current role will focus on marketing the organization through an Outreach Campaign to site selectors outside of our area as well as producing the Quarterly Newsletter and website content. Chris will also work on many of the day-to-day operations including Investor Relations and grant writing. Chris comes to our staff with over 13 years of administrative, marketing, and event planning in an economic development office.
Community Involvement
Since Chris has been employed by Team Lorain County, she has become very active with many organizations on behalf of TLC. Chris is a member of the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), Ohio Economic Development Association (OEDA), Team Ohio, and Team NEO Business Development Partnership.
In addition to work experience, Ms. Kish is the President of the Elyria Catholic Alumni Association, a Notary Public, an active participant in her parish, volunteers as the Fundraising Chairman for EC Girls Soccer.
Education
Ms. Kish is a graduate of Elyria Catholic High School and holds Certificates of Completion in several areas including: Microsoft Office Systems, Accounting, Travel & Tourism and Event Planning and is pursuing a degree from LCCC. Ms. Kish completed Ohio Economic Development Association’s Basic Economic Development Training Course in April of 2007 and hopes to continue the planned outline to become a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD).
