County as the Manager of Attraction and Expansion in July of 2008. Mary will manage new leads as they are received and work with site selectors and business owners to ensure they are knowledgeable of all Lorain County has to offer. In addition, Mary will work with existing
Lorain
County businesses to facilitate meeting their retention and expansion needs within the county.
Prior to joining
Team
Lorain
County, Mary was a Project Manager and Marketing Manager for HNTB. Mary has a variety of public and private sector experience and has developed and analyzed alternatives for mass transit systems and facilities, highways, intermodal operations, and land use and development projects. Mary also has a strong public involvement background including planning and coordinating meetings with a wide range of clients from various agencies.
Community Involvement
Mary was appointed to the City of
Lakewood Planning Commission in 2008 and has served on various City Infrastructure Committees for the City of
Lakewood. Mary is also a member of Lakewood Alive, a citizens' advocacy group formed by, and for, the citizens of
Lakewood to provide residents of
Lakewood with opportunities and information associated with economic development.
Education
Mary is a graduate of Regina High School, received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Dayton, and a Masters Degree in Urban Studies and Economic Development from Cleveland State University. In addition, Mary is a Certified Planner with the American Institute of Certified Planners, and a member of the Ohio Planning Conference.
