corenet global logoTLC attended the CoreNet Global Summit in Dallas, TX from April 25th – 28th, 2009.  CoreNet Global is the world's leading professional association for corporate real estate and workplace executives serving leading multinational companies from the Fortune and Global 1000. More than 7,000 members manage over $1.2-trillion in real estate and workplace assets in Asia, Australia, Europe, Latin America and North America.

CoreNet Global brings Economic Developers and Site Selectors together to exchange ideas and learn ways to best meet one another's needs. As Economic Developers we must make available options for residents to remain in the community for work, recreation and education. Corporations then do not have to be concerned with moving their facilities to follow subsequent generations of workers. CoreNet Global offers many opportunities to network with corporate real estate executives and site selectors.

Each Fall and Spring CoreNet holds a summit at various locations.  This is the premier opportunity to interact face to face with several of the top site selection consultants in the world.  The State of Ohio reception received great feedback from several attendees throughout the summit.  In fact, at least six (6) potential projects were identified during the Ohio event.  As a sponsor of the summit’s Ohio reception, Team Lorain County’s logo and materials were displayed prominently throughout the event.

OESI Honors Team Lorain County Board Member Maureen Cromling

Maureen M. Cromling, Chairman of the Board of the Ross Companies and Team Lorain County Board Member, was recently honored by the Ohio Environmental Service Industries (OESI) when they presented her with the OESI Outstanding Service Award. OESI is a trade association of Ohio's commercial hazardous waste management facilities and associated businesses. Members of the organization provide waste storage, treatment, disposal and recycling services.
